Corridor Sur drug carrier draws 90 months jail
A 31-year-old Colombian woman who was involved in a shooting on the South Corridor on Thursday, May 13, was sentenced to 90 months ( years and 6 months jail for possession of drugs.
The sentence was imposed by guarantee judge Irma Palacios, after a hearing on Saturday, May 15. The decision was made after a validated sentence agreement between the Public Ministry and the defendant’s lawyer, Vivian Martínez.
According to the Public Ministry, 58 packages with illicit substances were found in the vehicle which the sanctioned woman was driving Shots were fired from another carand she drove into a guard rail. Her pursuers removed a suitcase from the car and fled, leaving 58 packets of drugs behind.
