Three young pico iris toucans in the  Protected Areas of the Ministry of the Environment (MiAmbiente) in Chiriquí were rescued in a weekend search procedure by the National Police in the community of Santa Cruz, in the district of San Félix. They are in a juvenile state and still have pigeon plumage, said Carlos Castillo, head of the Section. The toucans were checked and evaluated by MiAmbiente technicians and are in good condition.
