Travelers with covid vaccine certificate can enter Panama
Travelers who enter Panama and present the certification that they received their two doses of vaccine against Covid-19 will not have to comply with the biosafety requirement says the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre.
Sucre stressed that the decision was reached at a meeting held to change the sanitary protocol, not only at the Tocumen airport but also at ports and at the borders.
“The protocol is going to vary because the person who has their two doses and come from other countries, do not need to swab or do the traceability because that person must already have immunity after their second dose,” Sucre said.
He saidd that these travelers must carry the card that certifies that the two doses were applied to them.
At the same time, he affirmed that the protocols are analyzed to reinforce surveillance against the spread of new strains of the coronavirus.
“This is going to make the protocols vary, there are four countries to which we have to pay attention for the new strains. Among those are the United States, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Brazil. Epidemiological surveillance is going to be reinforced upon entering country ”.
