Panama pianist wins fourth Grammy
Panamanian pianist Danilo Pérez, founder of the Panama Jazz Festival , won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album for Secrets Are the Best Stories on Sunday.
The work was done jointly with the American musician Kurt Elling.
Pérez, and Elling competed with Carmen Lundy with their work Modern Ancestors; Somi With Frankfurt Radio Big Band with their production Holy Room: Live at Alte Oper; Thana Alexa with Ona and Kenny Washington with What’s the Hurry .
The Panamanian musician has won three Grammy Awards and has been nominated six times.
