Nothing prevents the current Attorney General from resigning from office. That is his right. But that does not mean that h can leave without justifying the real reasons for his resignation or that he can omit to give explanations about the status of the high-profile investigations that he inherited and those that should be ongoing under his management. This is called transparency, and although his predecessor was criticized it is no less true that with her there was greater transparency in terms of the work that the Public Ministry developed to prosecute the crime. His departure from the institution is as dark as his entire laconic and lackluster administration – LA PRENSA, Feb. 25
