Ted Cruz flees Texas for Cancun

Texas Senator Ted Cruz traveled with his family to the Mexican resort of Cancun, as the state he represents faces a cold wave and power outages, Fox News reported.

Images of Cruz on a plane circulated on social media, sparking outrage and criticism from Democrats, while around 525,000 homes and businesses in Texas were without power on Thursday morning, February 18.

Spokesmen for Cruz did not respond to requests for comment.
