In a statement, the Metro recalled that the General Directorate of Public Health, which is based on studies by the World Health Organization and the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention, does not recommend the use of this type of mask. with exhalation valves.
It is recalled that these mouth covers have “valves that filter the air inhaled by the user, but it does not filter the air that it exhales, allowing the expulsion of respiratory particles that could be contaminated so if the person is sick and does not know it, they will expose people who are in their environment ”.
