$11,450 sanctions for flouting health rules

 Sanctions of $11,450 were imposed by the Herrera regional health department on violators of sanitary regulations during the months of September, October and November reports Stayci Osorio, head of the Public Health department of the Herrera health region.

“We have sanctioned establishments and individuals who have violated the guidelines for the return to the new normal and the regulations in force,” she said.

The official’s statements were made this Monday during an operation carried out at the Herrera transport terminal. There, in addition to verifying the number of passengers mobilized by public transport, a leaflet was issued on health measures against covid-19.

Osorio said that the institution will continue to be energetic in terms of imposing fines on establishments, festive events and people for the incorrect use of masks.

As of Sunday, December 6, the total cases of Covid-19 in the Herrera province totaled 2,912.
