Bus driver flouted covid loading rules facing sanctions
The bus driver who attacked TVN journalist Fabio Caballero at the Albrook Transportation
Terminal last weekend, when he complained about the excess of passengers, could
be sanctioned, according to Commissioner Simón Henriquez, director of Transit
Operations of the National Police.
The incident occurred over the weekend when Caballero had boarded a bus and complained because
they asked him to seat a person next to him was not from his bubble ignoring the
recommendations of the authorities to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
The journalist filmed the video to report the number of people who were on the bus
and was insulted and attacked by the driver and the assistant.
Henriquez said that there is a sanction for not complying with the regulations established by the Transit Authority regarding space in public transportation.
He adds that Caballero’s conduct is the one that all Panamanians must adopt so that they report when transport regulations are not respected and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
