Sunday total lockdown stays until further notice

The Ministry of Health (Minsa)   has announced  that Sunday’s total lockdown will continue until further notice backtracking on its earlier announcement  that it would be lifted on October 12.

The general director of Public Health, Nadja Porcell, indicated that, in effect, the date was in a document that was made a month ago, so it was “assumed that this was going to be the case.”

However,   this was subject to the evaluation of the indicators, so the measure will be maintained until further notice.

“It is preferable to continue evaluating the situation and wait every Tuesday for the communication from the [Health] minister,” said Porcell, in Telemetro Report.

She said that the measure will not influence the development of the activities of the National Charity Lottery (LNB), taking into account that the draws will be restarted on October 18 without public participation
