Aircrew and groundstaff march on Presidency

Pilots. cabin crew and airport workers,  closely watched by police units marched from the Fish Market towards the Presidency on Tuesday, September  8, part of ongoing protests against the  Ministry of Labor (Mitradel).

The protesters, grouped in the National Federation of Airport Industry Workers (Fenatia), claim that the Inspection Directorate of the Ministry has not provided answers to the appeals they have presented for alleged breaches of the collective agreements committed by the airline Copa Airlines.

” Absent President, listen to your people”, “Copa is flying and its people are drowning”, were some of the chanted slogans.

Copa Airlines reported that it has held 100 meetings with workers and unions to explain the reality of the company.
