68 homes damaged by rising river waters
At least 68 homes in the Chepo district, east of Panama City were affected by heavy rains and the overflowing Bonete, Mamoní, La Primavera, and El Llano rivers, reported the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) on Tuesday, September 8
According to the National Emergency Operations Center (COE), thirteen communities suffered property losses.
Sinaproc Directo Carlos Rumbo, who toured the affected sectors, said that from the early hours of Tuesday “the Orange Force will be bringing humanitarian assistance to these Panamanian families who lost material things.
