Covid-19 plunges Tocumen income 96.2%
In the first half of the year, the State controlled Tocumen, SA’s revenues fell 50.6% due to the closure of the terminal by the Covid-19 Pandemiv
Between January and June, the state-controlled corporation generated $63.3 million , a dramatic drop from the the $128.3 million reported in the same period last year.
In addition to not receiving income from the operation of regular flights, Tocumen froze all the contracts of the commercial concessions that operate within the terminal.
Between January and June, current assets went from $ 169 million to $152 million, and after paying taxes and expenses, net income at the end of the first semester was $1.6 million, a fall of 96.2%.
