Copa Airlines  flights to 8 countries  through August and September

After  the Government  announced  on Saturday  the  extended suspension of international flights, Copa Airlines  has moved to clear up the confusion  and confirmed  that it will maintain its announced operation for the months of August and September, through the Tocumen International Airport,

They will be providing service under the rules of a  previous decree establishing  the Controlled Operations Center, for the interconnection of International Commercial Aviation

Copa Airlines is scheduled to operate flights to eleven destinations in eight countries, on August 10, 12, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29, to the cities of Miami, New York, and Washington in the United States, Mexico City in Mexico, San José in Costa Rica, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador, Sao Paulo in Brazil and Santiago

A spokesman said that  passengers whose  final destination Panama, will follow the guidelines established in of the Ministry of Health, which establishes sanitary measures for passengers entering the Republic of Panama, as long as the State of National Emergency is maintained. for Panamanians and foreign residents will present to the Airline the Certificate of Swab / PCR Test or negative antigens with a maximum of forty-eight hours prior to boarding the flight from the country of origin; sign an acceptance in the sworn statement, provided by the Airline, in which  the passenger agrees to: Comply with the sanitary control measures and health protocols that Government has available through the Ministry of Health;

The airline also reported that nationals and residents of Panama who wish to travel on the flights offered by Copa Airlines may make their reservation by entering Copa.com or by contacting the Airline Reservation Center. While passengers who have a valid ticket with Copa Airlines can make date changes without charge.

Biosecurity
 All Copa Airlines aircraft are equipped with high-efficiency filters that purify up to 99.97% of virus and bacteria particles, similar to an operating room. In addition, the air recirculation system in the cabin renews the air every 2 to 3 minutes and its vertical movement prevents it from being shared with passengers on the sides and in front.

 “Combined with the mandatory use of masks at all times, guarantees a safe environment onboard our aircraft,” says a company spokesman

.In addition, they have implemented other procedures such as: taking the temperature of passengers and collaborators; disinfection measures using high-end products, cleaning and physical distancing in the facilities and contact points of the airport; deep disinfection of aircraft with electrostatic guns before each flight.

The biosecurity measures were developed by a medical committee specialized in biosecurity, following the recommendations of the national and international health authorities, and have been successfully tested in the humanitarian flights that we have operated in the last five months
