Pompeo tightens screws on Cuba, Panama seeks doctors
The United States will suspend private flights to Cuba, hardening its offensive to weigh down Havana’s sources of foreign exchange, the head of US diplomacy, Mike Pompeo announced on Thursday, August 13.
“The suspension of private charters will take economic resources away from the Castro regime,” Pompeo said in a statement.
Meanwhile Panama’s Ministry of Health (Minsa) is seeking to recruit Cuban doctors to join the fight against COVID-19.
