Total weekend lockdown starts Friday

Starting on Friday, July 17 in the provinces of Panama and Panama West  there will be a  total quarantine through the weekend until 5 am on Monday, July 20  when staggered working hours will be introduced in the private and public sectors.

 Health Minister  Francisco Sucre made the announcement on Tuesday, July 14

in the Public sector, work will begin at 9:00 am while in the private sector the entrance to offices and companies will be at 8:00 am starting on July 19. With this measure, the crowding of people on public transport will be avoided he said.

In the meantime  the opening of a part of phase  3 in the province of Los Santos is being analyzed.

The same analysis is carried out to open a part of block 4 that includes restaurants, barbecues, and inns he said, The statement comes  US statea are rolling back on premature openings which have led to a massive surge in coronavirus cases.
