948 new COVID-19 cases in one-day deaths reach 493
Panama created new record in the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday, June 20 with 948 new cases bringing the cumulative total on infection since the outbreak in March to 25,222, with 493 deaths.
The Ministry of Health has expanded testing but says it is essential that the population join the efforts to jointly combat this deadly virus by reinforcing healthy lifestyles, such as eating properly and performing some exercise routines.
” The reports presented by the Department of Epidemiology highlight that 95% of hypertensive, diabetic, and other chronic diseases affected by COVID-19 die and 13% of the total accumulated cases in Panama suffer from chronic diseases.
