Panama Coronavirus cases climb to16, 584 with 398 deaths
Three months after the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic the number of accumulated infections in Panama reached 16,854 on Monday June 8 with 398 deaths. There were 429 new cases in the previous 24 hours.
The fatality rate is 2,4% says the National Epidemiological Surveillance System
Some 35.9% of the total number of infected that is to say 6,055 individuals remain, active patients, said Lourdes Moreno, director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, 5,628 people are in home isolation, 686 are in hotels and 427 are hospitalized, with 87 in intensive care.
79,268 tests have been carried out, of which 1,679 were applied, Monday.
