Liquor watcgdogs spot quarantine violators
Inspectors from the Consumer Protection (Acodeco) were on the road early in Panama City on Monday, May 11 to supervise the sale of liquor following the lifting of the Dry Law. They planned to visit 150 stores.
They found Several men lining up to buy liquor, even though Monday shopping is only for women.
They sought to ensure that the established limit of 1 six-pack of beer, or 1 bottle of liquor or wine per person was being respected. Penalties can be up to $10,000, depending on the size of the store
Workers in-home delivery companies cannot distribute more than that to an individual.
