Shoppers flout distancing rules as virus death toll climbs

 AS NEW  CASES of coronavirus continue to mount thousands  of surged into supermarkets on Monday and Tuesday  ignoring social distancing guidelines, while190 new cases   brought the  accumulated total of people infected by the coronavirus to 7,387

The Epidemiological Surveillance System reported 3,574 in-home isolation, 1,070 in hotels, 381 hospitalized, 288 in the ward and 93 in intensive care.

35,556 tests have been performed: 8,411 positive and 27,145 negative.

The largest number of infections is concentrated in the ages of 20 to 39 years (3,139) and 40 to 59 years (2,613)
