Airport concession contracts frozen

Tocumen SA has frozen all the contracts of the concessionaires that operate in the air terminal due to the lack of passengers following the  COVID-19 flight shutdown.

Tocumen estimates that its revenues could fall more than 60% this year due to the two-month closure the anticipated slow recovery that air traffic will register in the coming months, said Juan Antonio Ducruet, president of the Tocumen SA board of directors.

Copa Airlines, responsible for 90% of the operations of the air terminal, expects to resume operations on June 1 and will do so with 12% of its fleet of 102 aircraft.
