Panama in total weekend lockdown as virus cases reach 4,016.
As the total number of recorded cases of coronavirus cases reached 4,016 with 105 deaths the government confirmed that for the second weekend in a row Panama will be in total lockdown on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 20
Lourdes Moreno, Chief of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health, that there are 227 patients hospitalized in the ward and 99 in intensive care units, and 3,483 in home isolation.
Oriel Ortega, director of Seafront, reported that an official mission to assess the situation of irregular migrants will go to Darien where there are 50 migrants isolated on suspicion of the virus.
