Panama private school classes suspended
The immediate suspension of classes in private schools and in the early childhood care center (Caipi), was ordered by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday, April 15. but the Ministry said that the measure does not “in any way” mean the loss of the school year.
The suspension was “based on a survey applied to educational centers and the recommendations of parents,” says a statement from Meduca.
The measure excludes schools with an “international” calendar that finish their school year in May.
The Minister of Education, Matuja Gorday de Villabos said that schools that have given virtual classes “will be recognized for the time invested in learning,” while urging them to continue contributing to the training of students. “Offering in their interactive spaces extracurricular programs of voluntary academic reinforcement”.
