Tougher laws for quarantine violators, vandalism
The Cabinet Council has moved to toughen action against quarantine violators and vandalism during the COVID-19 crisis.
It gave the green light to the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Government to submit two bills to the National Assembly to reform the Penal Code by including the crime of vandalism, as well as typifying the violation of quarantine, the curfew and the social isolation measures ordered by the authorities as a result of the pandemic.
