Panama Total  Easter Weekend Lockdown

As Panama’s frontline healthcare workers struggle to cope with the rising number of COVID-19 cases with, 2528 recorded by Thursday afternoon, including 64 deaths, with one more being added every three that he population will not be able to circulate on Saturday and Sunday the  April 11-12.

Minutes earlier the Minister of Public Security, Juan Pino .had announced the total lockdown – which coincides with Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday – and shared that, despite the current curfew, 589 people had been arrested  Wednesday for circulating in violation of the ordered isolation measures by the health authorities.

Until now, women can mobilize on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and men, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, for two hours.
