CORONAVIRUS:  6 deaths, 345 infected including 70 medical staff

 Six people have died and the he number of people  infected with coronavirus climbed to 345 on Monday, March 23  of whom 289  remain in home isolation including 57 doctors and  13 nurses,  a situation described director of the CSS, Enrique Lau Cortés, “as worrying”.

Panama Metro (175 cases) and Panama Oeste (48) are the regions most affected by the virus.

According to the Minister of Health, Rosario Turner, the strategy ‘Stay at home’ today is more than ever a priority and failure to comply with it can bring much suffering to the country.

To date, 3,200 COVID-19 tests have been performed, of which 89% have been negative.
