“Stay at home” campaign goes viral
Panama’s “Stay at Home” campaign to stop the spread of the coronavirus has gone viral.
Social media networks are flooded with videos and photos aiming to raise awareness among the population that one of the measures to control the virus is to stay home to reduce the risk of contagion.
Students abroad, Panama performing artists, national athletes, health personnel and state entities have joined this initiative in the country to combat the virus, which by Sunday, March 15 has 55 people confirmed with Covid-19.
One of the most ‘viralized’ videos by front line medical workers shows the medical staff at a Panama hospital carrying messages like: “We also have families but we cannot stay at home” .. “ we are willing to do everything for you” … “will you help us?” … “ we are together in this… “thank you for your applause” .. “we clap also for you “ … “we are together in this” – see video below
