UK group acquires leading Panamanian insurance brokerage
Grupo Unity,(Ducruet) a Panamanian regional insurance brokerage in Central America with operations in six countries, will be acquired by the UK’s Willis Towers Watson (WTW), the third-largest insurance broker in the world.
It has 45,000 employees in more than 140 countries and markets. The transaction will increase the reach, scale and talent of WTW in the Latin American region, both for the Corporate Risk and Brokerage segment, as well as for Human Capital and Benefits The closing of the transaction is subject to compliance with customary closing conditions, and approval by regulatory agencies, the companies announced in a joint statement.
