Martinelli slander appeal struck down
A Court of Appeals has confirmed the archiving of a complaint for the alleged crime against honor brought by former President Ricardo Martinelli says the Public Ministry (MP) on its Twitter account.
The complaint had been filed by Martinelli’s legal team
Meanwhile, Doens said there were no merits and stressed that he never slandered or made accusations against the ex-president.
The MP had asked the Court of Appeals to deny the appeal.
Martinelli who has boasted that he has the power and money to chase those he sees as his persecutors has several lawsuits filed in civil and criminal jurisdictions against citizens, journalists, cartoonists, communicators, editors and executives of various media.
