Tropical storm alert extends through Friday
The Emergency Operations Center (COE) has issued a prevention alert (surveillance and monitoring) for the passage of tropical wave No. 37 over Panama.
The notice is valid from 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4 until 11:00 pm on Friday, September 6.
The Forecast and Surveillance office of Etesa predicts conditions of significant downpours and storms dispersed across the country.
The Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reminds people living lives in areas vulnerable to floods and landslides to not to visit rivers, and mountain streams and mountains tributaries should not be crossed either, as water heads are sudden and dangerous.
