Bus driver fled after traffic death
A busito (mini-bus) driver has been arrested after fleeing from the spot where he knocked down and killed a man on, the main road of Utivé in Pacora, eastern Panama on Saturday, March 30.
Moisés Gutiérrez a 54-year-old farmer was heading to his brother’s home to deliver a head of bananas when he was hit by the bus. A sister of the victim said that for a long time they have been asking the Transit Authority (ATTT) and the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) for sidewalks because drivers pass through the area at high speed and school students have to walk in roadside ditches. for fear of being run over.
