Major gang bust in dawn raids, 21 arrests
At least 21 people, part of a criminal network of guns for hire, kidnappers, and killers were arrested in a Panama cross country dawn sweep on Friday, August 24.
“Operation 507” was developed by the Public Ministry (MP), in conjunction with the National Police.
“With this operation it has been possible to dismantle a group that was engaged in renting hired killers, swindling, extortion, kidnapping, counterfeiting, arms and drug trafficking and international money Laundering in different parts of the country said First Criminal Prosecutor David Mendoza.
“The characteristics of this group was the use of legal persons as a front, including names of some already dead” and foreigners who were not in the country to cover criminal acts,”
