Culture official on hook for $19,000 phone calls
The National Institute of Culture (INAC) announced through its social networks responded on Sunday, July 15 to media and social network reports that its deputy director Juan Francisco Guerrero spent some $19,000 on data and roaming on a cell phone assigned to the Institution.
The INAC said that it is the duty of public servants to make responsible and reasonable use of the resources of the State, as well as to assume the responsibilities may arise.
In an online statement, INAC said the institution has not authorized the payment of the expense generated by the deputy director and it is up to Guerrero to assume the payment of the amount owed to the telephone company.
