STRONG WAVES hitting the Santa Clara beach led the Joint Task Force to order its evacuation on Monday afternoon, February 12.
Red warning flags were raised by the Civil Protection Service (Sinaproc) on other beaches following tidal alerts and 15 people were rescued from the sea.
