Rape and decapitation suspects detained
A BUS DRIVER and two of his assistants linked to the beheading of a woman, whose body was thrown into the Arraijancito River, on Via Centenario were ordered held in preventive detention on Wednesday, Oct 25 by a Judge of Guarantees.
According to a Judicial Twitter notice, they were charged with the rape, robbery-homicide and killing of Migdonia Sanjur.
Her body was found on September 18 and the hearing took place Wednesday at the Criminal Appeal System court in West Panama.
The suspects were arrested on Monday and Tuesday of this week, after different operations in San Miguelito.
The Chief Prosecutor of the Metropolitan Area Homicide / Femicide Section, Rafael Baloyes, said that the case is not a criminal group dedicated to committing criminal acts against women, but an isolated incident.
