Martinellis Twitter denials shot down

EX-PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli’s Tweeted denials of  involvement in Odebrecht’s illegal funding of the  CD Party’s presidential candidate during the 2014  election was shot down on Friday, May 12,  by  Mónica Moura, wife of the publicist Joao Santana, strategist of the candidate’s campaign

In a video she  detailed the pact she had with former President Martinelli to work on the political strategy.

 Moura narrates that at the 2012  inauguration of the president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina,  Martinelli  said: “I want to talk with you.” .

Later they met in the Palacio de Las Garzas, where they negotiated the cost of the campaign  to elect Domingo “Mimito” Arias and his running mate Marta Martinelli, wife of the president and former First Lady.

 The tag was  $21 million,$16 million would be paid by Odebrecht, $ 4.5 million would be given by CD, and $500,000 by Martinelli in a briefcase.

But the construction company was left owing $5 million, so Moura tried to charge Martinelli, who

sent her to a minister who told her that they had lost the election and that nothing could be done. They would not pay.

 Martinelli through his Twitter account claimed the responsibility of dontions to the presidential campaign of José Domingo Arias. Was the responsibility of the candidate and only he, was responsible for paying and receiving donations. It was  not the party.”
