13 named in Odebrecht bribery probe
PANAMA’S Special Anti-Corruption Office has named 13 high profile people accused of involvement in bribes paid by the Odebrecht construction company through Swiss banks.
La Prensa lists them as: Luis Enrique and Ricardo Alberto Martinelli Linares, sons of ex-president Ricardo Martinelli, his brother Mario and his cousin Francisco Martinelli.
In addition, former Minister Federico Suárez and his sister, Ana Isabel Suárez, the former director of the Social Security Fund Guillermo Sáez Llorens;
The former president of the board of directors of the Caja de Ahorros Savings Bank, Riccardo Francolini, the lawyers Nitzela Bonilla and Evelyn Vargas Reynaga, and the businessmen Raúl de Saint Malo,(brother of Panama’s vice president) , Cristóbal Salerno and Navin Bhakta.
