Opponents of 52 storey tower claim false info
PUNTA PACIFICA residents in the district of San Francisco opposed to the construction of, a 52 storey apartment tower filed a complaint with the Public Ministry on Wednesday Mar 29.
The complaint names the Mayor of Panama, the Ministry of Environment and those responsible for the Torre 400 project that is being built in the area,
Donaldo Sousa, legal representative of those affected by the building, said that Both the environmental impact study and the approved plans contain “false” information.
“The authorities did not do their job,” he said.
Mayor José Isabel Blandón said that he does not yet know the content of the denouncement , but argued that he recently met with the local residents and evaluated the documentation they submitted.
Yamil Sánchez, of the Ministry of Environment, said that they have not found anomalies in the environmental investigation.
