Special guests at Film Festival screenings
SAMIR OLIVEROS and Diana Pérez From Colombia, Alejandro Israel, Ezequiel Borovinsky and Gema Juárez Allen From Argentina are among special guests appearing for the sixth edition of IFF Panama.
Colombo-Panamanian Samir Oliveros after graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York, launched a kickstarter campaign with which he raised $60,000 to shoot his first feature film, Bad Lucky Goat on the island of Providence, in the Caribbean.
Bad Lucky Goat is the story of two incompatible adolescent siblings who accidentally kill a goat with their father’s truck. In order to resolve the endless problems that arise from the misfortune, they must work as a team; something they have never achieved before. The film, written and directed by Oliveros, contains biographical elements of his lifelong relationship with his sister.
Oliveros will attend both screenings at IFF Panama (Saturday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m. and Monday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. both in room 7 of Cinepolis Multiplaza).
