Speeding taxi driver applauded

A  SPEEDING taxi driver,  earned a rare round of  applause after arriving  at the entrance of the maternity wing of Hospital Santo Tomas at 8.56 a.m. on Tuesday Mar. 7 in time for  a 30 year old passenger to give birth in the car.

The delivery was assisted by an on duty nurse who had been alerted by  one of the crowd gathered on the steps.

The nurse, the  taxi driver and the new arrival (a boy) got a round of applause from the spectators).
