MEDIA WATCH: London mayor knocks Trump State visit
THE MAYOR of London, has added his voice to nearly two million people who signed a petition rejecting a State visit by US President Donald Trump to the UK.

Trump’s decree prohibiting the entry of people from Muslim-majority countries, and refugees, should rule out the state visit that is already scheduled for this year, said the mayor reports the Associated Press (AP) news agency.
“Under such circumstances we should not be receiving him with red carpet,” Khan said , a day before A debate in parliament over whether to reduce the status of the visit. The debate was scheduled in response to popular concerns and protests.
