Road death of TV worker brings total past 50

TWENTY-F0UR-YEARS OLD  Fernanda Torregroza,   of TvMax (channel 21) was killed in a  collision  on Corridor Sur near Atlapa on Saturday February 18 bringing the traffic death toll this year to over 50.

The vehicle was heading to Kuna Yala.Of traffic registered in the South corridor, near Atlapa.Five occupants of the other vehicle  were treated for injuries.

Meanwhile a bus carrying the luggage for 300 teachers traveling to Darien, crashed   near Chepo when the driver  apparently fell asleep.

The driver and his sole passenger were treated for  minor injuries at the Chepo  hospital and released
