$35 million facelift for Parque Omar
PARQUE OMAR, in San Francisco, one of Panama City’s prime green recreational locations is to get a major renovation with a $35 million budget approved by The Ministry of the Presidency.
Companies interested in the project must submit their proposals by Feb. 9.
The project will take 20 months, and will include the installation of new equipment and space to increase the commercial uses of the park, including restaurants and small shops. There will also be an emphasis on sports facilities.
The project will be aimed at “creating a space where families can realize a diverse number of activities,” said Minister of the Presidency Álvaro Alemán.
