10 hospitalized after restaurant explosion

TEN  WORKERS at a  KFC restaurant were rushed to hospital suffering from second and first degree burns  following an explosion on Friday Dec 16.

The incident took place in the kitchen of the franchise  in  AltaPlaza Mall  in Condado del Rey

The injured, eight men and two women, were transferred to Santo Tomas Hospital and a Social Security Hospital.

Because it was an occupational accident, personnel from the Ministry of Labor were notified and joined  firefighters at the scene.

The KFC is on the third floor of Alta Plaza Mall and has not yet been opened to the public.
