Three kids hit by pickup, two dead

TWO CHILDREN, aged 9 and 12, were struck and killed by a pickup truck  at noon  on Wednesday Dec. 14  on Calle Alejandro Tapia in Aguadulce. A 15 year-old 15-year-old was seriously injured

The pick-up hit them as they were walking along the road, police said.

The critically injured victim  is being treated at Rafael Estévez Hospital, a few meters from the accident site.

The accident came only two days after TV presenter and singer  Margarita Henriquez was charged after hitting and killing a  60-year-old man in Aguadulce.

There have now been 42 traffic fatalities in Coclé this year and the national total is heading towards 120.
