Martinelli facing investigation in State bank scandal

EX-PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli could be facing yet another criminal investigation by the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ), for the case of alleged in the Caja de Ahorros (CA) which  granted in 2012, two loans for a total of $30 million for the construction of the Amador Convention Center.

Judicial sources told TVN  that on December 1, the First Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, in charge of Tania Sterling, sent copies of documents  to the CSJ to decide whether the former president  should be investigated because during the investigation, he was linked to the alleged irregularities.

Sixteen suspects are already facing trial including members of Martinelli’s zero ( inner) circle.
