Metro fares set for a hike in 2017

AS PREDICTED by observers during the Martinelli administration, the Metro  revenues based on a 35 cent fare  are insufficient to guarantee the maintenance and operation of line 1.

Expenses for the operation of the first Metro line amount to $26 million a year, while passenger revenue until November 24 was $24.3 million

The Metro plans to raise ticket prices  in 2017.
