Mayors approval rating outshines Varela
THE POPULAR perception of the management of President Juan Carlos Varela showed a slight improvement this month Increasing three percentage points, to 42% according to the latest Dichter & Neira survey, prepared for TVN Noticias.
Varela’s May standing at 45%, fell to 36% in July and August, and recovered in September, to 40%.
The Government, on the other hand, has an acceptance rate of 39%. With 43% rating their management as “bad”, and 14% “very bad”.
Although President Varela has been better off than his government, 18% believe that his administration is “very bad.”
The popular feeling that the government is transparent fell for the second consecutive month by one percentage point, to 15%, its lowest level in the last year.
Meanwhile the The favorable perception of the management of the capital’s mayor, José Isabel Blandón, increased three percentage points to 50%.
