OLDY WEDEMEYER and Luis Díaz Bethancourt, former senior officers of state-owned  Caja de Ahorros (CA), were questioned Wednesday, November 9, for their participation in the management of the loan in favor of HPC-Contratas-P & V.

The company was the contractor for the failed Amador Convention Center project

On Monday, November 7, the First Anti-Corruption Prosecutor, Tania Sterling, issued a preliminary order to investigate Wedemeyer, Díaz and five other people: ex-directors of the financial house (FP), West Valdés and Ivan Clare, as well as Ricardo Ricki Calvo, Eric Quintero and Luisa de De La Hoz.

Quintero and de la Hoz, the current corporate banking manager and former managing director of the CA’s credit, were investigated Tuesday, November 8.
