Cabinet approves increased spending plan
PANAMA’S proposed $21.7 billion spending plan has been increased by $5.1 billion following recommendations made by the Budget Committee of the National Assembly and the Ministry of Finance.
The changes to the the state budget were approved by the Cabinet Council. On Friday Oct 14.
The budget, must now be approved by the plenary of the Assembly.
It maintains investments in works such as $321 million for the expansion of Tocumen International Airport, $254 million for hospital construction and $156 million for water projects.
The council authorized Minister of Finance Dulcidio De la Guardia to present the revised spending plan to the Assembly.
